Futsal European Federation

The draw for the first AMF C15 Futsal World Championship took place in Paraguay, home of the Paraguayan Futsal Federation and the World Futsal Association.

Postponed, the competition welcomes 12 nations and will take place from November 20 to 27 in Paraguay. As for the competition system, from 20 to 22 will be the group stage, which will leave the 8 teams that will qualify for the quarter-finals (the first two of each group plus the top two thirds). The quarter-finals will be played on the 24th, the semi-finals on the 25th and the final on the 26th.

This C15 World Cup – the first to take place in this category – was scheduled for last summer, but was postponed due to the pandemic. It is for this reason that the age of participation has been extended by one year (up to 16 years) so that the players concerned are not deprived of the possibility of playing a World Cup intended for them.

Tournament will take place in the Alto Paraná region and will have Ciudad Presidente Franco as its main city and Ciudad del Este as its sub-seat.

In the case of Ciudad President Franco, the venue of the matches will be the modern and spacious municipal stadium, which has hosted several national tournaments.

Europe will be represented by Catalonia, the only nation defending the colors of the old continents. Placed in Group A of Brazil, Mexico and Canada, Catalonia can hope to reach the final phase. Having had a series of training sessions recently under the leadership of Ammar Mohadr, the national coach, the blood and gold team hopes to be ready for this great international meeting.

All the members of the FEF wish to M.Dani Vives’s selection good luck for this first C15 Futsal World Championship.
